I'm kind of tempted to enter just to push Strath Haven into 4th.

I'm wondering why so more people have Bala Cynwyd beating Harlon Rowe than the other way around. Harlan Rowe beat them by a sizable amount at Rustin, while Bala Cynwyd barely beat them at Garnet Valley. Those are the only scores that I have access to, but what's your guys reasoning?

Bala was HEAVILY unstacked at Rustin. Also, history typically plays a role in people's predictions...

In addition to that, it looks as if Bala is a lot more consistent in their events. (https://scioly.org/wiki/images/a/a9/Gar ... Master.pdf). With the exception of boomi and circuit, all their events placed pretty normally (1st - 13th). However, Harlan Rowe obviously had some strong events (2 golds!!), with a total of 4 events below 13th place, as opposed to the 2 Bala had. Generally, consistency is the major determining factor in many tournaments - take nats 2018 div B (Beckendorff), or Cornell 2019 Div B (Community, Solon, Gelinas).

I see what you're saying. The bomb in glider as well as heredity definitely cost Solon a first at Cornell, and I looked at Harlan Rowe again and they seem to sporadically bomb one or two events. However, there's not really any evidence of Bala Cynwyd being particularly consistent at any very competitive competition where they're stacked.

According to Paypog, they weren't stacked at Rustin and I'm not sure if Garnet was particularly competitive, with Gelinas missing and Bedford not being stacked there. However, Bay Academy, Springhouse, and Community (who swept) were there, so I'm not sure as to whether or not it counts as a particularly competitive invitational.
