You can find online tutorials about it through googling, I personally never bothered to learn but probably will sometime.

Yeah, that's not a conflict we would normally be looking out for....SciBomb97 wrote: For me, optics conflicts with microbe.

for some formulas, its easier to just do them than to make a program for the calculator.JSGandora wrote:You can find online tutorials about it through googling, I personally never bothered to learn but probably will sometime.
and for schedule conflicts, optics conflicts with protein modeling for regionals and states.

Re: Optics B/C
These are templates that you make for the laser shoot. They are done before competition so that you can have a precise placement of mirrors instead of just winging it.

Re: Optics B/C
Basically just premade mirror placements you can use no matter how the obstacles are set up. It takes much more work to go in and actually calculate the angle measurements for each mirror to hit the target.zyzzyva98 wrote:These are templates that you make for the laser shoot. I think Chalker is only asking for national conflicts, because he's part of a committee for nationals (whichever committee that is).cngu23 wrote:for some formulas, its easier to just do them than to make a program for the calculator.JSGandora wrote:You can find online tutorials about it through googling, I personally never bothered to learn but probably will sometime.

True, although many states and regionals use the national schedule.JSGandora wrote: I think Chalker is only asking for national conflicts, because he's part of a committee for nationals (whichever committee that is).
As for my committee, note the lines below vvvvvvvvv

Hey guys, just wondering; For the speed of light, do you usually use 3*10^8 m/s or the exact value (299792458 m/s)? What have you seen on your tests?

Unless stated in the problem otherwise, I use the exact value... Probably because I'm super strict about exact answers, and so that could be just me...Seracon wrote:Hey guys, just wondering; For the speed of light, do you usually use 3*10^8 m/s or the exact value (299792458 m/s)?
