The WORST books were The City of Ember and Ruby Electric. And Outcasts of 19 Schuyler place was pretty horrible as well.

Since I was coaching, I didn't read those books. But just be happy that you didnt participate when we had to read Somewhere in the Darkness, Swallowing Stones, All American Girl, the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, Williwaw, Far North, The Art of Keeping Cool, or When Zachary Beaver Came to Town. They were all awful, and All American Girl and Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants scarred me for life.

Also, I thought Angels and Demons and DaVinci Code were Dan Brown (unless you mean the main character's name, I never read them).

Has anyone read Physics for Entertainment? I'm considering buying that.

Time Travel in Einstein's Universe was a rather interesting read, and if school would get out of the way I'm reading The Legend of Zelda and Philosophy- they really don't water down the philosophy, even though it's about a video game, which is good. And yes, apparently my nerdiness does not end with printed media.

Life of Pi was an amazing book.

If you like the Da Vinci Code, there's also Foucault's Pendulum by Umberto Eco. It's an older book and not as well-known nowadays, but it's also about a conspiracy involving the Knights Templar, Jewish mysticism, voodoo, underground tunnels, and of course, the Foucault pendulum. It's more intense than the Da Vinci Code and has much more history and background on the Templars, but there are a lot of similarities.

Yes, that's a really good book, but only if you don't mind looking up a new word every couple of pages or so.
