Why is pluto not a planet (YES IT IS)?

Pluto is definitely a planet because if it weren't, nineplanets.org wouldn't have nine planets!

(in reality, it isn't because a "planet" is a celestial body that (a) is in orbit around the Sun, (b) has sufficient mass for its self-gravity to overcome rigid body forces so that it assumes a hydrostatic equilibrium (nearly round) shape, and (c) has cleared the neighborhood around its orbit.
However, pluto is a dwarf planet unable to meet these criteria. It does both a and b but does not pass test c aka it hasn't cleared the neighborhood around its orbit. Very interesting, really.)
