Lmkovic knows, since he won :P.
But we got third with a 34cm ramp height, 34mm off ( :( ), and a time of 5.5 ish seconds. I think the distance was 9.37 m.

Poudre's Gravity Vehicle traveled 9.37 meters in around 4.7 seconds and missed the mark by 1.7 cm.

We dropped the vehicle from 61 cm. This added a lot of points to our score and was the only thing that kept us from first. Congratulations to the team that dropped from 30 cm.

I calculated our final score to be around 240 points.

Posted pics of our GV in the Image Gallery; waiting for a mod to approve them.

Here are some stats from this season:

Ramp height: 35cm
Time to 5 meters: 2.97 seconds
Vehicle weight: 1.100 kg
Materials used for the vehicle: PVC, Black Panther skateboard bearings, 6mm axles/shaft collars/washers, 1/4" hex nuts/wing nut/washers, Banebots wheels
We used a compress board (I think that's what it's called) for the surface of the ramp and made the frame out of wood and brackets to ensure right angles.

Unfortunately we didn't have any good runs this season; we don't know our best score but I assume it's around 290 points. The biggest contributor to each one of our scores (Invitational/Regional/States) was the distance; it was hard for us to gather accurate data since most of the time we didn't have the "proper" testing environment and equipment. For example, we planned on dry cleaning the track during Regionals, but we didn't have access to a Swiffer mop when we did our testing (which was in a dusty hallway, not a gym) prior to competition. As a result all of our data was inaccurate and we ended up being around ~25cm from the point.

Why didn't you add more weights to the back of your car?

We put lead BB's inside the PVC in the back of the car to add weight, but we ran out of room to accommodate more before we could hit the weight limit. Initially we tried to put something else on top of the car to get as close to 1.5kg as possible but we found that it was hard to mount it on the PVC and avoid it interfering with the launch mech/braking axle. Mostly a design flaw on our part.
