I hate you. I hate you all. (Not really.)

So close...SO close. Maybe next time.

Truthfully though, I never thought I'd make it this far, get so close to victory. My goal was to bring back the excitement and atmosphere of the old assassinations - the 30s and 40s - from when I was new here (hence the spiel at the beginning about restoring Scioly to its former glory).

I thoroughly enjoyed being sassy again (even though I was constantly scrambling to come up with clues), and I hope you all enjoyed the game. :)

PM me your pick, harryk.

If I were the sassy, I would have killed you just for that horrible protect.

Hehe, I was right, now why didn't I do that after the first identity clue?
Just gonna say, your last plea of innocence made me even more sure that it was you :D

Grumble...I can never defend myself well enough to not get accused...

Anyways, I think I've explained (or you guys have solved) all of the clues except the last kill clue and the identity clues:
All of the book titles you guys got were right, with the exception of His Dark Materials. That was supposed to be The Amber Spyglass (3rd book in the trilogy), but no one realized that HDM doesn't fit in the blanks. Moral of that story: Check your work.

If you had all the titles right, it would spell out OSE CAGE. -ose is the scientific suffix-thing for sugar (glucose, deoxyribose, lactose, etc.) and sugar is sweet. A cage is a synonym for a coop. Therefore, sweetcoop.

The first letters of the sentences spelled out "NEW HORIZONS". New Horizons is a NASA space probe currently on its way to Pluto. And who's one of the biggest Astro geeks on the forum? Yeah, me. (A little vague, yes, but it was only the first identity clue.)

I think someone (can't remember who) solved most of this. Pioneer, Magellan, Messenger, Dawn, NExT, and Phoenix are all space missions, and Discovery is one of the shuttles. "Fear and defeat" were a reference to the two Martian moons, Phobos (the god of fear) and Deimos (god of dread and defeat).

Lines 1-2: Aldebaran is the "eye" of Taurus the bull
Line 3: Alpha = the first = leading
Line 4: Aldebaran follows the Pleiades across the night sky
Lines 5-6: When human civilisation was just starting, Taurus used to rise at the spring equinox, and was thought of as renewing the earth

I kind of suspected it was you for a while, but I'm a civilian.

That was one of the most amazing games I've ever had, and for a second, I seriously thought that you were going to win... However, that was a super awesome game, Alpha!!!

Rule 10: Non officers or informants may post. So you can tell us, for future reference.

Great game, Alpha! I was going to protect myself on that one that you killed me on, but I didn't get the chance to, and it wasn't for the right reason anyway.

Awesome game. I'm a little disappointed that you assumed you'd find me at a dig site though...
