Ours was early this year. However, it is good in the fact that we then have two weeks to get ready for state instead of only one like last year.

Yes, I suppose that's true. We've started having individual practices in our different events. I don't think we've ever done that before, but it seems to be working well, and I think we'll be even readier for state.

Calm down guys, we don't have a sarcasm font here. Frogger, I have taken some of your posts as somewhat condescending, and I don't think it's warranted by a team that's regarded as a favorite going into state. I think that's what my teammate means, I don't think it's anything personal.

I agree 100%. When you don't know the person who's posting, things can be misinterpreted very easily. It's not worth getting upset over something that's posted on here, especially when you don't even know if it's being said in a sarcastic manner. It's best if everyone is straight forward with their comments so we don't cause any controversy. Sorry if comments from our team have offended you in any way.

Backing what buzzbuzz has said, please do not take any comments by one of my team members to represent the views of our team. Also, reinforcing his comments, realize that the intended tone typed in posts and emails often doesn't come across correctly by the typer, and rarely are they interpreted correctly by the reader.

I believe the purpose of the forum is to discuss things related (at least loosely) to Science Olympiad. Let's try to stay there.
