We also had a full page on foliar feeding and fertilizer related questions. Labs have been soil test kits like the ones from Home Depot.

Foliar feeding is a method of fertilizing that applies the nutrients to the leaves rather than the roots. The best time to do this is in the morning or evening when the pores are open. Our team guessed.

When they ask what type of fertilizer to recommend, what is the format of the answer? Like, do we put down something like 5-10-10 or a specific name?

They say what mineral or like what you said 5-10-10 is best for this soil and they'll include a graph on it, 'kay?

1. How can irrigation be damaging to topsoil?
2. What advantages do synthetic fertilizers have over compost?

I'm not sure about the answer to those two questions but did you try searching on the internet because you can find a lot of stuff on various websites.
