no they shouldn't
That's one of those things that the doers just have to deal with and that the writers should be ready for so they make extra descriptive directions.

They didn't have to. That was a true test of their skill. It doesn't say there can't be extra similar pieces given out in the rules so if they want to, they can, and personally I think it's a really good idea.

I agree that they should not tell you about extra pieces. It just makes it more of a challenge. But bringing up the stickers again. It was the only thing that we think was like that, so it was only one of the pieces you had to deal with. Think of it like a tiebreaker.

How do you know? Those who really practiced and knew what they were doing would know to pay attention to every detail and said specifically what the snowman was doing. I think implementing that as a tiebreaker is fine.

When I did WIDI last year, it was an Edward Scissorhand-like contraption that was actually scary. Unlike my fellow participants, I decided to minimize and make it simple for my partner, (I'm a writer) so I ended up only using one side of my paper and putting encouraging phrases... Haha-- Uhh. The encouraging phrases are optional but keeping it shot and straight to the point really helped. (I got 15th place @ Regionals.) If anyone has any other tips, please tell me.

I know what the event covers because I look at the RULES and have helped create something for the participants to practice on in a couple meetings.
