But don't rely only on your field guide and binder, try to learn the event as well as you can because its hard to look up an answer to ever question in like 3 minutes.

It definitely is. That's kinda what I did, and I really regret it. If it wasn't for my partner, we wouldn't have medaled.

i studied by writing it out...yeah... i wrote all the basic info about all the fossils on the fossils list on paper which was then put into a binder...it was pretty effective for me and i got it done in two snow days...but i dont how much snow will be coming this spring... try to get the phyla down like crowman suggested and if you have time learn to id everything

fossil kits help and so do random fossil tests that you find online... ;)

Something that helped our team out was that we went over to the college in our town like every week because it has a really good collection of fossils and the professor would talk with us and answer any of our questions.

thank you soo much guys! I have created a binder so far and it is has the NY PowerPoint on fossils so far along with the list of fossils.

The NY powerpoint is definitely a really good resource!! Our binder had a lot of that in it.

ok thanks for the input are there some other really good sites to visit for information or should I just be looking for pictures?

It's always good to keepan eye out for info but if you don't have a lot of pics, than you might what to get some.
