I'm very confused to where he called you incompetent. The only slightly incompetent thing I've read is that Wright Legend isn't on state team with that thicc 3:30 flight time. But, there do be casualties when you try to win state.
Adding to Creationist's post - Obviously a member from Munster's State team who participates in Wright Stuff (as seen in signature) - I can understand how he may have been offended by the comment of the "WS legend" having a "rightful spot" on the state team. Putting together a (potentially) winning state team requires taking a lot more into consideration that performance from PREVIOUS years by the so-called "WS legend". I'm not completely sure and please correct me if I'm wrong, but it is my understanding that this unnamed "WS legend" Munster may have has not won a single competition in their season.
Dang WS Legend is a fraud?!
I am not saying WS legend is a fraud, all I am saying is the "legendary" performance did not happen this year.

How were WS legend's performances this year? Just out of interest.

Looking at score sheets from competitions Munster has attended (and assuming WS legend is any Munster teams best placement) you can see WS legend has placed at Palatine, RP, and Regionals. They did not place at UMich and I can't seem to remember if they placed at Northridge (although I don't think they did). My best guess to the times WS legend was achieving this year was likely in the range of 1:30-2 minutes with his/her best flights.
EDIT: I welcome Creationist to correct or confirm these guesses on WS legend's performance

Wow, that's a bit of a falloff. By any chance is it because of the
coach that left?

I can confirm Munster wasn't top in at UMich, but that's about it on things I can say about the "WS Legend".

He couldn't go to UMich.
Also, I don't think he would want his times shared but if what he told me is correct they are
VERY good

And that's what I was wondering.

It is quite the falloff but I think this would be more likely accredited to the rule changes regarding wing size, stabilizer size, and propeller size. I have never participated in Wright Stuff so I can't tell of the effect these changes would have but I'm sure it must have something to do with it.

I'm interested in what you may consider very good times as Munster has yet to win Wright Stuff at even the least competitive of your competitions this year.

Yeah, but it may be good enough to win state. That's at least how I think a team who is trying to win states would define "VERY good."
