Heyy- If u were a half-blood, whose kid do u think u'd be?
I used to think Athena, but now I have to say, after reading The Last Olympian,
Apollo.
I'd say Poseidon.
Only thing that annoyed me about the book was Demeter's role. She's only mentioned in the last book, and she doesnt even do anything, except suggest that everyone should eat some cereal.
Cmon, make some plants grow and kill people or something.
Yeah, I totally agree... They made Demeter seem like such a sap (Sap, get it?

)
I'd definitely be Athena's kid. So much so it isn't funny.
Maximum Ride is my fave book, though. *Note the avatar*

I rlly hope not. It would rlly put a dampar on Posidon's charecter for me if he had anymore half-blood children...
it would be interesting if the new main character was somehow related to percy but comes generations afterwards and then discovers hes a half blood yadda yada. i still need to get my hands on the last olympian. a kid in my math class said he
might lend it to me...

must...have...last...olympian...
I'm joining this conversation late, but I was one of the lucky ones to get
The Last Olympian before it came out. Pretty awesome.
Anyone else on here hear of "Battle of the Books?" It's big (ok, not too big) at our school - competition was today... we lost.

I've been reading a lot of non-fiction, the most recent being Superfreakonomics. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Yep. Well, there's a few competitions with that name. There's the one with 100 books that you do in 4th grade where you just identify each book from a small clue. And there's the one where there's 12 books (8 now) where they ask ridiculously specific questions. I was on that team for 4 years in a row until I aged out =)

Tamora Pierce is amazing I agree!
genes_girl wrote:Wow, too many. I personally LOVE fantasy, and some scifi, but it is something I have always loved. Let's see how many of my favorite authors I can remember ( not in any order):
Tamora Pierce ( by far #1)Garth Nix
Clare B. Dunkle
Diana Wynn Jones
Marianne Curley
JK Rowling
Diane Duane
I am sure there are more, I just can't think of them off the top of my head.

Yeah- I was in the ridiculously specific question category. Today was my last competition. It's pretty sad, but I have more important stuff to do- like SO.
