the call i like the best is one from ranidae i think, that sounds like someone badly strumming a banjo. :lol:

Are there any frogs that exist except frog calls? For example, are there any lizard calls we have to memorize?

i know geckos can make this weird sort of noise but I'm not sure of ne other lizard calls

I don't really think there's anything else. Sure, all animals make noises, but frog calls are very distinctive.

the only lizard that makes a sound are tokay geckos and they are really easy to tell
they sound like something is dieing

well you could, but i think there wouldn't be any of those. like rattlesnake sounds are really distinct so.. yeah.

A lot of different geckos make different sounds. Tokay geckos go to-kay! Some others go geck-o! Many others make different sounds. However you probably won't get ANY calls, though I wouldn't be surprised to hear them at nationals. If you do get calls, they will most likely be frog calls. Also know how to recognise vocalizations of geckos, crocodylians, and anything else, but concentrate on frogs.

Nationals 2009: 1st in Herpetology, 2nd in Fossils
