There's only one kind of Garnet on the rules, unless you count Schist var. Garnet (which is a type of schist, not a type of Garnet).
My bad. I meant to upload this image...

Too bad, I already answered the question BTW, yours is Rhodonite Image
ID. Remember, color isn't everything.

Haha, what happened was I type in rhodoLite into Google, instead of rhodoNite, by accident. xD
Thus, it was a Garnet, but it was not on the rules. But correct!
Your is chalcopyrite.

Whoops, sorry for the delay.

1) ID
Image
2) What about this specimen's density makes it special?
3) Is this rock mafic, felsic, or intermediate?
4) Is this rock intrusive, extrusive, or volcanic?
5) What is its texture?

1. Pumice
2. It is less than 1 g/cm^3, and therefore floats on water.
3. Felsic
4. Volcanic (isn't it basically just a type of extrusive though?)
5. idk... rough? There are formal texture descriptions?

Volcanic is different from extrusive...the extrusive counterpart of pumice is rhyolite, which is very different. And for 5 yes, there are texture descriptions, but only for igneous rocks. This one is vesicular.

Your turn!
