If they're thinking about conflicts, it's probably stuff like other academic tournaments (quizbowl, debate, etc.), although the date change was, in my estimation, most likely caused by the venue not being available (PA state tourney is large, Juniata is not, so it's probably pretty limited in terms of when they can host).

Rumor has it they were worried about hotel space not being available because of the Penn State Blue-White game on the 22nd.

The Rustin Invitational has been rescheduled to Sunday due to the likely snow and ice. Most 90% of the teams have confirmed that they will still be coming and all of the events will still be covered. We hope to see you there.

Is it usually out this early? I seem to remember it usually coming out in February or March.

It usually comes out later, but this year they wanted to try releasing it at the same time as the regionals schedules.

Speaking of which, the schedule for the Northeastern Region has been released: http://www2.wb.psu.edu/uwt/nepascioly/
No other regions have been released yet.

Thank you so much! I'm glad to know none of my events conflict. Please post the Southeastern Regionals schedule when you receive it! I really appreciate this.

I think the top 4 for B this year will be Springhouse, Shady Side, Bala Cynwyd, and Strath Haven, but I think they could be in any order. BC took a huge hit from graduation(much bigger than the last time they attended nationals, and there was a 5 year hiatus after that), so I don't know if they will be strong enough to make it again. I know it's early, and they don't stack for invites, but the Rustin results definitely support this(not that my B division invite scores were anything to brag about  ).

Jeez, I though I was being critical.

Shady Side could make a return this year, it looks like they just had a bad day at states last year(nothing against BC and Springhouse, I just think that there might've been a smaller gap between them and Shady Side if a few things had gone better for Shady Side). Strath Haven's scores from Rustin look pretty good and they might be able to crack top 3, maybe even top 2 again.

As for C, I think there's a lot of variability in the top spots. So far Rustin is looking a lot weaker, but they still beat out every other PA team at invites. Strath Haven in 3rd just seems too crazy. This is probably the closest the C team will mirror the B team that got 4th at regionals in 2014. On the other hand, this is probably the closest Shady Side's C team will mirror the last B team to win states, and some of the new students might be out for blood after missing Nats last year, so I wouldn't put it past them to crack the top 5. Conestoga in 6th seems a little low, I think they'll probably be 3rd-5th. Of course, this year I can see a breakout of any of those teams getting 2nd and moving to nationals, but I wouldn't move Harriton out of 1st.

Either two things happen:
1. The s7reak continues
2. After getting 777, they get really lucky and move up a few spots.
