camp WAS two weeks, for the first time ever. One week MS, one week HS.

Kid in question is from Georgia, I believe. Yesterday, while bowling, he dropped a 1 pound ball ON HIS OWN HAND. I must of laughed for five minutes. After making sure he was okay, of course.

No sight of "The Thing" from OneAndOnly via Katy yet.

Rofl starplug, yeah, I know. You would have to be near god-like to get that many posts (a very, very, very, very bored god-like being).

Anyway, in the camp for HS, is it mostly like freshman and sophmores, or like juniors and seniors, or really all around?

Katie has "the thing" with her, but has no means of getting it to you, unfortunately.

The Katie I'm referring to isn't at camp; she's in the summer ILEX program down at IU. Unfortunately, she left for Chicago this morning at 6:30, so I'm not going to be able to get you the 'thing' until early August. We'll work something out as soon as I get the package back.

Uncle Fester wrote:Oh, great idiocy abounding. One kid covered his head, neack and feet with high-stick duct tape. his punishment for wasting tape was he had to rip it all off. Some yelling and a very red face.
Haha, that was hilarious. The kid was my team, and during build time he wouldn't work, he just sat there asking dumb questions and doing other annoying crap. So as a joke one of us told him to tape his mouth shut...he took it literally, and then decided it was so much fun to have his mouth shut why not just cover his entire head. I bet he would have started covering his arms if a counselor hadn't stopped him.
Camp this year was so awesome, even if for some reason nothing could go right for my team. I received one ribbon, third in the lab portion of Chemistry Lab (strange thing is, I really don't remember taking that exam). I enjoyed pretty much all of the classes and had a great time during the other fun activities, especially capture the flag. I can't wait to go back to camp next year. I'm already missing camp and I've only been home for 7 hours.

Spalding, you forgot to mention that during Capture the Flag he covered himself in all black and his face and arms in shoe polish.
As I was guarding him in the prison he covered himself in mud.
Mud.
Then this morning at breakfast he still had some shoe polish on him. It apparently wouldn't wash off. He looked like a zombie.

And he also put egg-o-naut bottles (just two 2l bottles with 3-6 inch nose cones) on both hands with an egg in the left bottle. Yes, the egg did break.

I feel sorry for his parents.

And I am so proud of my own one single ribbon. Don't you love how much Orange Team DOMINATED the competition? GO FIGHTEN' ANVILS! (And I started missing camp as I got into the car to leave. Seriously, no joke. I've been camp-sick since Febuary this past year. )

Nevolji! Oh my gosh, another fightin anvil! The worst Orange team did was when everyone else had like 200 points in one event...and we had 10. And yeah, I can't believe he covered himself in shoe polish, but a lot of what he had on him this morning was permanent marker. He said he got bored and decided to color on his face.

Spalding! I think the best part would definetly have been the first time we found out our points. Remember? Orange got last, we cheered like crazy. Then other teams did stuff. Then Red got first. Almost no one cheered at all. That was the greatest thing ever. XD

Oh-- and Jerry, by the way. I just confirmed it that Valpo does count as part of Northwest Indiana. Even part of Chicagoland. You lied to us, making Patrick lose that bet(I think). Not cool, Jerry. Not. Cool.
