Something about shiny stuff.
Do Ento. Then you automatically get four stars if you're cool like me.
Ento is Lyfe. <3 Ento. <3 Bugs. <3 Insects.
I didn't choose the Bug Lyfe, the Bug Lyfe chose me.

Live and die for Teh Insectz.

So time to edit the wiki a lot and submit lots of quizzing questions? ;)
 how do I get four stars?
In order for a user to get four stars, they must start by getting recommended anonymously by 10 other users on the forums for being helpful in their posts. Then, they are evaluated by a panel of moderators and administrators who will determine their overall contribution to the general atmosphere of the forums. Generally, those who pass this part are then interviewed face-to-face by one of the administrators. In the interview, a variety of data is collected including one's age, education, health conditions, and more. If they are successful in the interview (only ~4% of people with the 10 recommendations make it to this point), they will begin the final quest to gaining a fourth star. This final quest takes place over the course of 30 days, in which any five of the following tasks must be completed: add 250 high-quality, original questions to quizzing; add 250,000 bytes of information to the wiki; create 200 quality team pages on the wiki (cannot be combined with the previous task); adding 75 high-resolution helpful images to the image gallery; help 50 people on IRC; upload 15 tournament-quality, self-written tests to the test exchange (again, cannot be combined with the "add 250,000 bytes to the wiki" task); get 3 new schools to participate in Science Olympiad ("new" being defined as having not registered a team in the past 5 years); write a 5,000 word essay describing the impact Science Olympiad has had on you. During this 30-day period, cameras and microphones will be hidden throughout one's home in order to monitor for any activities that are not seen fit for this organization. If the user fails to complete 5 of the tasks described above or suspected to participate in any activity seen as unfit, they will be denied access to a fourth star and will be ineligible for reapplication for another 2 years.

Hope this helps!

Oh, and I forgot to mention this: if you are curious about this process, feel free to ask any of our users with four stars about their experience (e.g., SOnerd, fozendog, retired1, chalker PacificGoldenPlover, nxtscholar, rfscoach, etc.).

Unome said that part of the induction involves bloodshed and ritualistic sacrifice of a roach. Is that true?

I gotta say, the easiest way to get 4 stars is to read the wiki.

In other news, August is coming up...August means rollover...rollover means the last post must be in here...

Do I get extra points for converting bots into useful, active profiles?

Either get 150 useful posts or get a medal.

Edit: I've spent so much time on the wiki now that when I see a user page with +25 bytes edited by John Richardsim I already know what it's going to be :P
