A Gelinas kid posted his NY states Compute This test score of of his personal calculation and what he thought he got right
I think that can be unreliable-- what if he's wrong??!!
If he's wrong he's wrong... the thing is it doesn't necessarily have to be a score. Even if that event wasn't out of 100, it was a rough percentage, and a good guess as that, as he is reliable and wouldn't put anything up if he wasn't sure (I know him really well, he's my best friend, and he wouldn't put that up if he wasn't at least 90% sure)
it was out of 100
50 pts from graph
50 pts from short answer
Ok but still, an educated guess is an educated guess, and he thinks he got that so he wouldn't put that up if he wasn't at least 90% sure

Seconds per foot is not a very good indicator at all. Using that method, you'd expect someone who flies 2 minutes in a 20 foot gym to fly 9 minutes in a 90 foot building.

Ceiling height can make a difference, but not that much.

Well, there isn't a way to fix people estimating their scores. If we only had verifiable scores on there, we would only have like two entries.

Yes, it would be nice to have some event specific information, but custom fields for particular events (track length for scrambler/ev, room parameters for WS, obstacle distance for traj, etc) would be a lot more trouble and harder to maintain every season.

Would having a "Comments" or "Misc" text field that you could put specs in if you felt like it (or link to a gallery image or a post or something) work? Would just add the field description on then entry form as "Misc important information like room height in WS or track length in Scrambler"...

Yes/No?

That's sounds like a good idea. It would be nice to get a little background info along with the score.
