Excellence is never an accident. It is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, and intelligent execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives - choice, not chance, determines your destiny.

Structure/Function of Cartilage
• Cartilage=connective tissue
• Created by chondrocytes
○ Derived from fibroblast
○ Secrete collagen (fibrous) and elastin (elastic)
§ Give strength and flexibility
• Not innervated - no nerves
• Avascular - no blood vessels
• Receives nutrition and immune protection from surrounding fluid
• Hyaline cartilage
○ Larynx, trachea, throat, joints (articular)
○ Reduce friction, absorb shock
• Elastic cartilage
○ Outer ear, epiglottis
○ Provide shape, support
• Fibrous cartilage
○ Intervertebral discs, pubic symphisis
○ Provide rigidity, absorb shock between joints
nice

Light infestations can be managed physically. Crop rotation should be utilized. Imazaquin can be used as a herbicide. Fungal pathogen Fusarium oxysporum has been found to be effective against all stages of development on the genus Striga.
