i find it horribly annoying to be the writer, look at the huge humungous gigantic construction made out of legos and toothpicks and what not and then have to write how to build it... it makes you tired before the event even starts.

So, are coordinates allowed this year?
In other words, do they count as "used in their normal context and not as symbols to form a key/code"?

well of corces it depends on where you are and whos running it but i would say at LEAST 15-25 almost always more but at states last year it was HARD but it onlyhad about 10 peices 6 pipecleaners, 2 paper clips and 2 beads so i would rely on peices alone beacuse it can almost be IMPOSSIBLE but only with a few peices

I would highly advise you to
read the wiki at
http://scioly.org/wiki/Write_It_Do_It.
It has a lot of good, proven techniques as well as some general information about materials and event structure.

Write it Do it has always been one of my favorite events. It's pretty fun, and I love building.... but I'm a writer.... heh. I was told I was pretty good at both, but they wanted me to be writer so... > w >''
oh well. personally, I love doing those huge complicated structures. It makes it more fun, and keeps you occupied. toothpicks? I think the popsicle sticks with ridges are harder to use.
Oh.. and those chatspeak words.
i dont usually use it cuz theres a chance it will ruin the event .
end rant.
