For Chem Lab, would there be an issue with running titrations as part/all of the lab portion?

Yes. All chemicals are off-limits. The event will strictly be test-only. No lab portion whatsoever. Sorry, but my hands are tied by the administration and lab techs on this one. :x

Yes, it is. Twin Tiers had already set aside the 18th with the school administration, and that day made the most sense for us to hold it as well. It's optimal for the reasons outlined in our FAQs: http://yuso.yale.edu/invitational-2014/ ... why_jan_18

This isn't a bad thing, though. Having 2 invitational allows schools to choose more freely which one to attend (i.e., which one is closer), and those turned away from Twin Tiers, which the coach informed me happens every year, will be able to come to Yale, and vice versa. We have a larger capacity too, so hopefully that helps. *hint hint* :P

@isaysroar: The high school is probably going to Twin Tiers, since it's closer. Hopefully, the paperwork will go in this time.

@YUSO: Yale might have a higher capacity, but Twin Tiers is one of the best-run invitationals in the country, and Athens always have a good number of volunteers helping out. So while I understand you want people to go to your invite, back off of Twin Tiers a little bit.

 Dude, chill. Didn't the ":P" show my nature of jest? I know of Twin Tiers' reputation, and the coach has helped me quite a bit.

I guess not effectively enough, haha. I just don't want someone to read it and get wrong ideas.

Also, looking over my post, it seems pretty chill to me, but I guess we both need to work on conveying emotions through internet text a little bit, hehe.

I know the feeling  But I do think Yale is going to get some publicity despite being on the same day as Twin Tiers anyway, simply because it's...well...Yale. But that right there (choosing between the two invites) just comes down to personal preference among the teams/coaches (East, don't shoot me down please! :D :? ).

I'd love to go...but a) an invite almost certainly going to be held on the same day, closer to us, b) logistics/financial considerations/distance, and c) the shuffling of events (this is more minor than the other two) are probably gonna prevent us from coming. Sorry! I would've loved the opportunity to see the campus

God save the Queen. Yo, don't truck your butt from Indiana...nothing is special enough, let alone Yale, to justify that distance :o The campus won't be going anywhere soon!

Thanks, I'm flattered. Though I must admit that is something we were kind of banking on to make sure people will actually show up to this invite after all the work we've put into it. We know it's not that easy getting teams to come to a new gig. Hopefully our unique location helps a lot and actually serves needs!
