Spiny water flea, native to spots in Europe and Asia, likely introduced here by untreated/unchecked ballast water from trading ships and the like.

Well, not really. A very small group of people released their hyacinth into a river in Florida (I believe) and it spread from there.

Does anyone know how to make a working hydrometer? I have tried and failed ate least 100 times...
