Re: Season 2013 - Site suggestions
I think signatures should be banned, because I think a lot of people are currently abusing their privileges. I think it would be beneficial to the community as a whole if these were eliminated, or at least only granted on a request-only basis or something similar to that.

Kinda spammy text-wall, dont you think? It makes it rather difficult to navigate through pages when have of the page is signatures of dozens of people.geminicross wrote:I mean explain how it's abuse. You can disable signatures in the User Control Panel if you don't want to see them...Kinda spammy text-wall, dont you think? It makes it rather difficult to navigate through pages when have of the page is signatures of dozens of people.
Go to User Control Panel
then Board Preferences
Then Edit Display Options

All I'm saying is that I think removing overly-formatted signatures or ones that have too many pictures would be beneficial for the common good of the forum. And the only fair way to decide is to have a strict and consistent way to decide on this. The simplest and clearest system would be to ban all of them.

There's a character limit on sigs. I've only see n pictures on a handful of people's sigs (mostly veteran members), and never more than one/two. Most people like having signatures, and of someone doesn't like looking at them, they can disable them in their UCP. No reason to remove a feature that many enjoy for all, when there's already a way for people that don't like them to disable the sigs...3nv1r0nm3ntal ch3m wrote:All I'm saying is that I think removing overly-formatted signatures or ones that have too many pictures would be beneficial for the common good of the forum.
