I like tables because it helps me find information quicker. If you really orient yourself with the cheatsheet though, tables won't mater. The general idea is to keep similar info together, be it in a table or just clumped in a corner.Skink wrote:

Okay, well, tables are pretty good, but only if you're formatting it in a neat, organized way. If not, it's probably better for you not to use them.mnstrviola wrote:I like tables because it helps me find information quicker. Re: Forestry B/C
I have a quick questions. So, sometimes a tamarack cone looks like a regular cone:

but then other times it looks like a rose.

which one is the right one?

Re: Forestry B/C
I'm not sure, but my best guess would be the female cone at different stages?? I'd like to hear the actual answer too (I've only found a couple of websites which refer to both and they seem to conflict with each other...)

I'd imagine that they are at different stages of development, but I don't actually know. I guess we should just be familiar with both, although since the rose cone is particular to tamarack it might be more likely to be used on tests. Maybe.

Re: Forestry B/C
Has anyone here actually gone to a woodlot for their Forestry regional competition? Last year, it was just pictures of specimens on PowerPoints. I don't know if teams that go to woodlots for their regionals will have an unfair advantage if it's held at a woodlot in the State competition.

Re: Forestry B/C
I seem to be the only person with this problem, but could someone please help me understand the difference between the yellow/sweet birch and the american hornbeam/eastern hophornbeam? I'm constantly getting them mixed up, especially yellow birch and American hornbeam :(
I think in my state we generally get preserved specimens
