I already protected him.

He has already been protected, and I doubt the sassy would tell us we were way off if the target had already been protected.

He could be trying to throw us off, but I doubt it.

*shrug*
I only read the clue and a couple of posts. Don't blame me.

I'm glad someone is at least fairly competent. I was afraid none of you would be able to identify a simple pattern, so I capitalized some of the important words. That's the last help you'll get this game. I had to feed several locals to my hydra to keep it satisfied and now I'm wanted in nearly all the countries in southeast asia. I hope you're happy, twototwenty. I managed to escape back to the states and identified my next target, he appeared to be auditioning for the lead in Rip van Winkle. I plan to make his sleep permanent. His paleontologist buddies will find him six feet under in a few days.

I protect paleonaps. Duh.

Edit: nevermind, got beat to it. No offense, Cedavis, but you shouldn't feel too good about that one; it was painfully obvious...so obvious, in fact, that I suspect a red herring... anyway, good job, regardless.

That clue was perhaps a bit too easy. By the time I got to New York, I realized that it wasn't paleonaps at all, but merely a scarecrow pretending to be paleonaps. Disgusted, I threw a bomb into the nearest building I saw, which just happened to be the New York Stock Exchange. Don't worry, our favorite dinosaur is safe, but you have 3 days to save my real target. The bombing of the stock exchange will be a perfect metaphor for the global economy without this victim.
