Re: Music!
I just love Breaking Benjamin and Avenged Sevenfold and Evanescence and Flyleaf and Staind and Skillet and Disturbed and Red and Kamelot and Nightwish and everything in between. They are just really awesome, as is alternative rock/metal and symphonic metal.

Re: Music!
Glad to know I'm not the only one who doesn't listen to mainstream music too :)LCovington wrote:Totally a vocaloid fan!! XD2000lby wrote:Anyone a vocaloid fan? o.o
Who doesn't love Luka?
My music playlists are a hodgepodge of randomness, mostly: Indie, Rock Alternative, Science & Faith, Punk, Rock, and Classical. I love Ludovico Einaudi, Green Day, Rise Against, My Chemical Romance, The Fray, a bit of The Script, Flyleaf, uh what else... *racking brain* Coldplay, Owl City :3, Imagine Dragons, you get the idea. I also love alot of Vocaloid songs!

Re: Music!
I like Mozart for musical instruments other than piano, Beethoven, Liszt, and Chopin for piano, and Bach for strings especially cello.
I also like Berlioz's Roman Carnival Overture, music from The Planets by Holst, and more.

Re: Music!
Reading this thread makes me feel incredibly old as I don't recognize half the names (guess I'm glad I recognize the other half). I'd probably be embarrassed to admit to the music I still listen to and even more embarrassed to post a youtube of my high school marching band.
This thread reminds me of this recent Zits cartoon:

Re: Music!
Classical music that will grab your attention, modern fans:
1. Russian Easter Overture (Rimsky-Korsakov)
2. Symphonie fantastique (Berlioz)
3. Mahler 5 (obviously)
4. Shostakovich Symphony 7 (Sounds exactly like modern videogame music)
5. Grande symphonie funebre et triomphale (Berlioz)--it's actually written for band.
And just because I play bassoon and love a good showpiece, Weber's Andante und rondo ungarese or Hummel's concerto.
