I protected Prelude because s/he seems to be the only person from CA who posts in assassinator games.

No, which is why I said for the record, and I believe that the connection to troy is just a red herring.
However, the assassinator could deduce that I was from Orange County based on a recent upgrade to my signature indicating my latest lifer was Lesser Sand-Plover, which spent a week in Huntington Beach. If this turns out to be the case, the assassinator would therefore be familiar with birds, an probably a former ornithology competitor.

um... just a train of thought, but prelude and I are in the same grade. I'm going into eighth. I'm gonna have to agree with PGP on this one.
