For those of you who volunteer at hospitals, how did you get started? I mean did you just walk into the hospital and talk to the lady at the front desk, or send an email, or..... I want to get started, but I'm not sure how.

There's a youth service club at mine. I'll be joining it this fall. Yours may have a club too.

I wish my new school had a chamber orchestra, a cross country team, a football team, and gave music lessons like my old school. All I did this year besides SO was play the cello in the school's production of Bye Bye Birdie and the reahersals for that were really, really time consuming.
Last year I did intramural football in 6th grade.
Goodbye Science Olympiad, until next year.

It makes me really feel like I do not do much since I only have two ECs this yer:
Science Olympiad
Volunteering at library

Guess you could sort of count piano, except I barely practice these days. Also could count the hours I spend informally researching random interests or watching videos on khan academy. I will probably add quiz bowl as an EC next year.

Band (flute/piccolo player)
Volunteer work at the library
Church youth group
Swim
Flute lessons
Various music festivals (Solo Ensemble approaching soon... gah!)

I know there's more, but I can't remember for the life of me... Anyway, I'm thinking about doing Math League, but I'm not sure how I'll stack up (self-esteem issues  ). I'm thinking of adding more, but I don't want to get too stressed out. I'm also guilty of procrastination. :)
