It doesn't add up- It requests that the bridge is at least 45 cm long and it can only be 20 cm tall. It seems like with this, it'll be impossible to make it support 15 lbs unless we get more space for where the legs can touch the base (it's currently 5cm).
I rather think the point of this rule is to distinguish a "bridge" from a "tower". Bridges are, after all, generally rather longer than they are tall.

I can assure you that in 2009, the year to which you refer, there were bridges that held the full 15 kg (not lbs!) and massed less than 10g. If you search the 2009 forum for elevated bridges, you'll find examples of this.

Upon reflection, I'm particularly surprised that Machines got replaced by Trajectory a year early, since Trajectory is a full build that wouldn't be run in a virtual competition like nationals currently is.

Does anyone have the "It's About Time" audio files? The zip file link on soinc.org is broken (the file has been deleted).

I have a copy of the sound files, which I'm pretty sure is the latest version. This is the text that came with it:

This archive contains audio files for all possible time trial periods. Each audio file consists of the following:
1. An initial warning 'bell'
2. A short delay
3. Another warning 'bell'
4. A short delay
5. A start 'beep'
6. A precise delay equal to the time in the filename
7. A stop 'beep'
The time trial begins at the beginning of the start beep (step 5 above) and ends at the beginning of the stop beep (step 7).
