Any predictions for the Fairfax HS Regional this weekend?
As most of the teams attending the Fairfax Regional don't attend many tournaments outside of the Fairfax & Lake Braddock Invitational, I'm mostly going to be using those tournaments to justify my rankings.
Division B:
1. Lake Braddock (Had a decent showing at LB Invitational and I know they are on the rise (new coach) after a really bad 2017-18 season)
2. J. Michael Lunsford (Performed pretty poorly at LB Invy, but since they do well historically I'm putting them second)
3. Willow Springs (Actually a good turnout at LB, I would put them at second but I'm not sure how much they worked on the events they no-showed at LB)
4. South County (Both South County and Trailside are pretty equal, but I think SOCO has the edge this year, especially if they polish up some events)
5. Trailside
Division C:
1. Langley (Pretty obvious winner, curious to see how low they can go with scores - what I'm more interested in is the TJ - Langley - Fairfax - LB - Woodson states clash)
2. Westfield (Although Madison did better than Westfield at Fairfax, I think if Westfield just polishes a few events they have a much better chance)
3. James Madison
4. Chantilly (Chantilly and Centreville scored pretty close at Fairfax, though many of Chantilly's events were no-show so I believe that they'll do much better at regionals)
5. Centreville

B: Lake Braddock as 1 would be my choice as well. For 2, I don't think it should be Lunsford, and, believe it or not, I'd actually put Kent Gardens, because they were quite strong at LB. 3-5 seems pretty accurate, but I'd then substitute Lunsford for Trailside.
C: Definitely agree with 1. Can't really give my opinion for the rest because I don't know Division C that well. Virginia Div C hasn't really been dominated by a team yet, but TJ seems to be emerging as the Div C powerhouse of VA atm, with a 6th place finish (I believe) at the UPenn Invitational against many out-of-state, nationally-ranked teams (like Boca Raton, Ward Melville, Harriton, etc.) I think they also got 12th at Nationals last year. I honestly think states will be a repeat of last year for Division C, as no results really point otherwise right now.

If anyone's curious, here is the situation right now with Virginia States and COVID-19:
- For the last few days, VASO has stated that the decision to cancel States on 3/28 would fully be in the hands of UVA, the host.
- Today, UVA released an announcement that banned all events on the campus with more than 100 people from occurring, meaning that States can not occur at UVA.
- Also today, the State Board concluded that the States tournament is considered being postponed.
Sources can be found on the COVID-19 Wiki page.
