Re: Shock Value B
Yah. We had to build a basic circut, to light four light bulbs in a parallel circut. The event proctor took notes on how we built our circut. It was pretty easy.

Re: Shock Value B
Agreed, although I recommend checking, especially with alligator clips, because they are easy to misplace, creating a problem in the circuit and in your score (:

Re: Shock Value B
If anyone hasn't already, I recommend playing the game Physicus. You can buy it at Target for about $5.
The game is a Myst-styled puzzle game that deals with a lot of different aspects of science, including electricity. The puzzles are sometimes so knowledge-based that the game include Educational Chapters that teach you a lot about the topics in a simple and easy way.
The Educational Chapters include:
-Science of Heat
-Acoustics
-Optics
-Science of Electricty
You can learn a lot from this game, plus its just fun

Yes. You can learn that much from it.
If you have started to study already and have a lot of info, don't get it. You probably already know everything from it.
But if you haven't yet (why haven't you been studying?) I would start there, with that game.

Re: Shock Value B
You shouldn't have to worry about electrocution in this event you probably wont be dealing with anything over 9 volts anyways
But some general tips are
1.Don't stick your finger/tongue/metal objects in a electrical outlet
2.Don't lick wires
