i would recommend that you also work on a book and a binder but be ready to use either

I think they usually do a binder in the 1st year of events, so... Overall I kind of like not having a whole lot of resources, as it means you can just study harder than others.

My my, all the things that are wrong with this...
Last year was the first year in my (up until and including 2009) 5 years of olympiad, every single nature ID event has allowed a binder. I also know that before I was here, birds had a binder before forestry.

Also making a good binder requires an enormous amount of studying, and really differentiates teams based upon how much time they have put into their event and their binder. To say that not having resources makes you able to win by studying more easily is a fundamentally flawed statement.

Instinct is telling me to memorize them all, right now, but alas, I've graduated and can no longer do scio.

but I would have to say relying on ONLY a binder is very weak, and most of the time doesn't allow for a lot of studying for this many species and information. We'll just have to make do with what they allow.
