2. Medium grade
3. Garnet, abrasives
4. Staurolite?, amulets/charms
5. Kyanite, hardness varies because of anisotropicity (probably spelled it wrong), different hardnesses due to cleavage (lower hardness on vertical angles, higher on horizontal.

Re: Rocks and Minerals B/C
For staurolite, all I was looking for was "index mineral".

1. Chalcopyrite 2. Um, I don't know the specific state, but I know the region, and so I will guess Colorado. 3. The specimen is tarnished slightly, which occurs due to the oxidation of the CuFeS2. 4. Copper ore, along with native copper, bornite, and cuprite, which it is commonly associated with.

Just some potpourri-style questions now: 1. Kunzite is a variety of what mineral? 2. Garnet begins to form at what metamorphic facies? 3. Why is fluoride a useful ingredient in toothpaste? 4. 12-sided crystals of pyrite are known as what? 5. What is a pumice raft, and how is it produced? 6. What is the difference between high quartz and low quartz? 7. Define cryptocrystallinity.
1. Spodumene 2. Amphibole Facies (Intermediate Grade) and a bit of Granulite Facies (High Grade) 3. It helps prevent tooth decay 4. Is it a pyritohedron? Not sure... :?: 5. As the name implies, it's a raft made of pumice. This is formed from ocean-based/near-ocean volcanic activity. 6. This varies based on the temperature. Beta (High) quartz forms from extreme heat; it is Alpha (Low) quartz when cooled. 7. The crystal structure is noticeable IF and ONLY IF it one magnifies in closer.
Re: Rocks and Minerals B/C
Pretty good. I was looking for "replacement of hydroxyapatite anamel with fluorapatite" for number 3, but I should've specified. Everything else appears correct.
Your turn, and don't hesitate to throw some real curveballs.
