Their performance last year was for sure a surprise; it feels as though they've lost the momentum though (not just at MIT but also local invitationals like Rice).

Seven Lakes was coming off something like a 12 year nationals streak so they clearly felt comfortable slacking off a bit last year. This year though... The cards aren't looking so good for Clements. With just 2 months left, I'm predicting a 3rd or 4th place at state :?:
Seven Lakes didn't exist 12 years ago lmao

If we're going to use results from Rice then I think it'd be more logical to say the LASA would be the most in danger of getting 4th and losing at state. I see everybody using Rice to justify Tompkins being just as good as Clements if not slightly stronger and nobody bringing up the fact that LASA got 10th overall. But obviously that is a ridiculous claim.

The fact of the matter is neither Seven Lakes, LASA, nor Clements arrive at these local invitationals with their stacked teams and instead bring their younger and less experienced members. With that said, I'd be hard pressed to say that Clements would get 4th at state. Their previous performances are likely due to them trying to lay low and stay under the radar so that they would have the element of surprise come April.
LASA rarely stacked at TX tournaments... They got 1st at the UPenn invitational yesterday

This. Clements and LASA rarely stack at local invitationals with the occasional exception. However, from what I've seen Seven Lakes does bring some of their top members to local invites (an example being Rice), so they usually end up winning over the other two. Tompkins is extremely competitive against the unstacked big three and can probably beat them, and while they should not be underestimated by any means, they still need time to grow as a school, and without a doubt will be competitive against the stacked three in the future.

Based on UPenn results, I would have doubts about their performance, especially since they dropped on a number of events (excluding Rocks and that fiasco). Overall, Seven Lakes seems like the strongest of the three this year (though that was the same last year and states didn't work out for them). At this point, it's useless for us to really speculate and probably better for us to work on our events :)

I don't think they're anywhere online yet, since the Texas Scioly page hasn't updated the teams advancing to state and the tamug website still hasn't posted it. For now I think the only people that know the results are those that attended the regional.
