I have seen tests pull from past outbreaks but its not usually important if you know them. Sometimes they do have you match things to new outbreaks so its always good to check the CDC site and stay updated!

I would study the biggest and most famous outbreaks in case they ask about one of those but if it isn't really major, you don't have to worry about it.

(This isn't history olympiad after all)

Yeah, I have that one....I am just wondering if there are more because I took a practice test with a question on a disease not on the chart...

How common is this?

Should I just take notes on new diseases as I go?

While the FDA chart is a good start, I recommend going on practice tests for Foodborne Illnesses to see what past tests have asked for.

Anyone have a good summary of the different types of studies? (Experimental, cohort, cross-sectional..etc?) I need a good, concise way to remember the basics about each study. I know all of the calculations and such, but I'm having trouble remembering what each of them is for. Thanks!
EDIT: Usually I just have long paragraphs of stuff on my info sheet, but I think it's time to downsize...
