I just tried a bunch of ciphers, but all I got was gibberish. Although, it seems strange to me that the message is one ridiculously long "word".
Has anyone had any luck with this clue?

EDIT: the original clue says "for someone is about to have bad luck in a matter of time"...maybe an It's About Time reference?
