I want to do compute this, so basically all you have to be able to do is use excel and find info on the internet? that sounds easy...can someone give like an example of a question that you might find in compute this? thanks! :P

Well more like info on one extremely massive site, and fast, but that's basically it. As for questions I will leave that to someone wh has done this event before.

well the site this year is usgs.org you have to post the answer AND the sepcific site so like 7 usgs.org/random/page

ooo try this onehow many people and states have a significant risk of earthquakes

If anyone has competed in this event before...

In your experience has there been dividers between each of the computers, or can anyone just look onto your screen and see the webpage you're on, or your data?

no I've never been in a competition with dividers but the event supervisors are pretty good at spotting people cheating because to look at data and urls on someone else's screen you REALLY have to look and that would be down right obvious ;)

75 million in 39 states but I guess i have to graph it too in competition "sigh" :(

#1 Go to Google.
#2Search USGS.gov
#3 Click on the first answer That appears. It is USGS home or something.
#4 I personally used the search box on the site. it's powered by Google.
#5 Type in (earthquake risk AND how many states And population)
#6 Scroll down and click on the result that has your answer in the first paragraph.
No magic. Not difficult. Try this one. How many volcanoes per square mile are there in Hawaii?
