Has the taxonomy changed, or is it a printing error? The error is unique to Sibley's guide, which lists it as Ajaia Ajaia. In Peterson's and National geographic, it is listed as Platalea Ajaja.
Always go by the taxonomy as they are printed on the list.

There is in reality no list for what birds are going by what scientific name in what family or genus. There are several organizations that produce standard taxonomies, however the fact that there are several means they are hardly standard.

There is some variation, always go by the list, some sources may be outdated, others may simply disagree on the proper taxonomy.

Is this actually a valid test? It was on the wiki, but not in the test exchange (I found it under recent changes). If so, could somebody change it to Word? (I don't have the required software to open it, which is why I'm not sure if it's a valid test.)

It probably is a test from someone's regional. It's in power point so you can't really change it to word...

If it's a Powerpoint, you could just copy and past the questions into Word...

winneratlife, do you have a Mac? I do, and I can't open it either.

Nah, I only have Office 2003. Oh, wait...

I think my mom has a laptop that has Vista, so I may be able to repost it to the test exchange as a Word document later tonight, if its relevant. (not sure, it wasn't in the test exchange)

It should open even in 2003, microsoft released a software patch that lets you open pptx files (2007) in powerpoint that runs ppt files (97-03). Check on the microsoft software download site.

edit... a little late, sorry
