Probably how they're started, what happens to them in shallow water and why, what you should do in case of a tsunami, historic tsunamis, average heights and speeds, etc. I can't think of anything else off the top of my head.

it may also be important to know the equation for the height or velocity of a tsunami depending on depth. that was in our test, along with many questions on what would happen if the depth got greater and the height stayed the same, and others like that

How did everyone think the national test was? I thought the test was good, but the supervisor spent too much time on the demonstration. We probably could've placed if we hadn't been watching the demonstrations for 35 minutes! :evil:

Oh well....

Well, everyone was watching the demos for that long. My team was telling me about them, too. I'm pretty sure they got 4th.
