I am still here. I have not suffered a sudden existence failure, no matter what you may wish. I am neither Luo nor RandomPerson. You are down to three, and three only, accusations.
I judge that the officers wish to play on, and as such, here is the next kill clue, accompanied by an identity clue.
Kill clue, somewhat of a literary treasure hunt [X marks the spot!]:
-X-- ---- : Author sharing his name with a prominent NYSO school writes about a sailor going on a revenge mission that ultimately ends in disaster
--- ----- X------- : A modern, fantasy retelling of John Milton's Paradise Lost [complete with daemons]
--- ---------- -- --- --- -- --- ----X--- : An interstellar quest for...lunch.
---X- -- There's no way out of this book, which describes WWII in gleefully non-chronological order
-X-------- --- : A man decides to read books instead of burning them
------ -------- ---X--- ----- --- --- : A fantastical submarine adventures around the world, captained by a man who shares his name with a lost clownfish
------X : A historical novel by "Dr. Ow" [hint: think laterally a litte bit on this], shares it's name with a popular music style around the turn of the century
Identity clue, in addition I will tell you that the revolver has nothing to do with anything. I thought of it for winner's kill story, liked the idea, and kept it:
I cast my eye on the starry heavens above and the once-verdant earth below
Glowering at all those who stand in my way
I may have chosen to lead
But the path I follow is not my own
I vow once more to let the earth start over in a better state
Existing as it once was at the dawn of civilization
