We got 13th at Nats with a deviating catapult. We aimed for around 20 ft or whereever the tape ended. During practice our trigger snapped in half and our distance came close to the target but we got participation points. Our tiebreaker must have saved us or something because at State the same thing happened to our catapult but we only aimed for 7 ft. Did top 12 hit the plate

Also is there a clarification that said we had to hit the plate because at our practice competition, the proctor said if you can make it past the plate, you get the distance score but only once??

I have no idea if the top 12 hit, but I know for sure the top 6 did. Maybe they only hit it once, though...
