Hey!! No we didn't!! We got 9th! And anyway, we just had one person on our team that was a little... erm..
weaker in the event than the others.

hahha omg some of the physical challenges for NY were a little weird.. for my team we totally killed like every single one, but still managed a 6th? for the golf one, the person missed like 50 times, then the running one, the person tripped while jumping so she jumped like 2 inches, and for the frisbee we missed it 7 times!! for the obstacle course i knocked down the chairs hahah

and the seed thing was strange- i was the last person to arrive so i had no clue what i was doing i just showed up threw down the "baton" and started running to get seeds and back. so insane. but overall it was actually kind of fun. it was like a break from studying-- lol our team studied like nothing for this- and it wasnt so stressful cuz you got to fun around and have fun!

I just throw my medals on a shelf in my closet- I think they're probably all there, but I certainly wouldn't be "devastated" to lose one.

i think my use of the word devestated was a bit of a hyperbole but you get the idea i wouldn't want to lose one especially my newly aquired 2 states ones

Lol yeah, of course, but still, my medals- including my 5 new States medals- are nice to have, but the success itself is a lot more important to me than some metal circle on a ribbon that just represents it (oh, and the overall experience of SciO is more important to me than either of those

).

SO is not about how good your team does, or the experience, or the learning. It's all about the medals. You need to get your priorities straight. lol, jk

Well, for me, there are certain medals I would hate to lose, but I agree that a team's success cannot be measured by metal. Although they are shiny...
