For the record: We got away with it, but at a minimum this can legally be considered trespassing. We weren't harassed by anyone either of those times, but...
Then again, who is going to bother you after midnight when it's a whopping 3 degrees F outside, you aren't causing trouble, and you're in fairly small western Colorado town with Texas "farm truck" license plates and a buggy full of firewood mounted on the trailer hitch? That was the first time. I was with a completely different set of people the second time, also with Texas tags, but it only got down to the mid 20s that night.
