I don't know if they'll add Parasitology, though, and I feel like it's more likely than not that they won't. They just added Herpetology 2 years ago, and the cycle is now 10 years between events. That means no competitor will get to do every event in the cycle. I mean, what makes Parasitology better than any event currently in the cycle anyway? It doesn't need to be added and it shouldn't be.
this makes it so accumulated knowledge does not go into effect, similar to fossils where those in 6th grade could do it again in as 9th grader this year. Also, orni is in the SOSI schedule so it is most likely going in next year

On the sosi schedule it says ornithology so that is more likely.

So will there be mousetrap car next year for B? Will it have to go forward and backwards, or just forwards like in buggy? Also, will there be mission possible for B? I have heard it is only a C event.
Let me know what you all think

Mousetrap Vehicle and Mission Possible are both expected to return to Div B next year. I think t's unlikely that Mousetrap will include the going backwards part, but I'm not certain about that.

Hello fellow users!
Does anyone know when the rules come out for the 2019-20 division B season?
( Manly looking for whichever vehicle event will come, I heard it's mousetrap car, and I would like to get started ASAP)

After nationals. Probably in August-September. If you have a division C affiliate, talk to them about your mousetrap, because they could probably provide some good advice.
EDIT: It is likely that it will be mousetrap car. The rules should stay somewhat similar from year to year, but I'm not sure how they'll handle the rules for Div. B. My guess is that they won't make you go backwards, but the only way to know is to wait until the rulesheets come out.

So, would it be a good idea to build a mousetrap car protoype, like one that just goes forward and stops at a given point, and then change and add whatever needs to be done according to the rules?
(I'm trying to surprise my coach for this coming SciOly season by having the mousetrap vehice completely built before the first meeting - my school starts meeting in October)

Elastic launched glider would probably be replaced by Aerial Scramber?
EDIT: Aerial Scramble was a trial event at states.
