Hehe thanks Croman, I'm flattered :D
Actually, if you want, I could email some of my binder pages to you. They happen to be amazing.

Cypraea is also know as the common cowrie shell, and there happens to be a Wikipedia article on it. I know Wikipedia isn't a good resource, and my coach swears against it, but the info looks accurate, and when you're desperate, anything goes.

Would you be able to do that? I mean, I hate copying other people's work, but I learned I was doing this event 3 weeks before competition. And I have no doubt that they're amazing.

Hey, can you send me one of the pages of your binder, too; if it is fine with you, of course. I am new at this event and want to see how you do your binder to gain some experience. Thanks.

Hmm, my binder seems popular. Any way I can post a word document (or several word documents) on this site so I dont have to email it to a bunch of people?
Though I do feel that distributing my notes to everyone kinda defies the spirit of the competition (like, learn it yourself).

You don't have to do that. We should just learn for ourselves. Sorry for being so lazy.

There is a fine line between giving a hand to other competitors (which is "good sportmanship") or going somewhat against the spirit of SO(sharing actual/pdf content of notes? which is kind of *not*). Part of this event is to learn by doing the actual research. Plus, look at it this way gneissisnice...if you distribute any of your binder pages, then you could be eliminating some of your advantage from the competition.

I would say sending a sample page so they can see how you lay your material out is legit, if you want to be charitable, but I agree with maggymay that giving everybody your binder is neither a good idea nor in keeping with the spirit of the competition. Although as good as I am sure it is, it probably wouldn't be as good for someone else. When you make your own resources you know where everything is and how it all fits together, and somebody else's might not make a lot of sense to you.

I am hoping someone can help me . . .

I gave my students this old practice Fossil test

http://bsmsscienceolympiad.wikispaces.c ... l+2004.pdf

It was an old one I had in my files . . . but I don't have a key for it. Does anyone have a key for this particular test?

Thanks!

Sorry I can't help with that, but the Virginia SO website has published their 2 Regional tests for this year with the keys.
