One: it will impact other rockets, not just yours.
Two: don't triple-post.

Re: Bottle Rocket B
The last time i checked weather.com, it said that there was a 50% chance of precipitation when I was going to an amusement park.
It was sunny all day
So I wouldn't rely on the weather reports just yet, maybe wait until a few days before the competition.
It was sunny all day

If an inconvenience occurs 4 everybody (e.g. rain), remember that the others face the same challenge and you won't get as bad a place as if it only targeted you.

Re: Bottle Rocket B
That is true (I actually hoped that it would rain at the state tournament, for my partner and I had a waterproof bottle rocket.). In addition, you can easily waterproof a bottle rocket by coating it in a couple layers of spray paint, or the rocket could be made out of waterproof materials like laminated paper.Cheesy Pie wrote:If an inconvenience occurs 4 everybody (e.g. rain), remember that the others face the same challenge and you won't get as bad a place as if it only targeted you.

Re: Bottle Rocket B
Sometimes it might only be raining for a few hours of the day while rain is simply a theat to you when you want to launch. Checking the hourly forecast might help you decide when the rain will begin/stop if you wanna get an edge over everyone else.
Goodbye Science Olympiad, until next year.

Besides a backslider, has anyone built/seen another type of rocket this year? (IE one with propellers, etc)
