Anyone know what it means by "Optics (Out of Sight)"?

Optics is the generic name, Out of Sight is the clever name that keeps the middle schoolers interested in doing the event.

Meh, I wish they would just call each event what it is. I hope it doesn't mean the event will be focused on a certain area of optics, like in meteorology or anatomy.

Yeah, I've noticed that a lot of the Div B events have interesting names (Shock Value, Science Crime Busters, Reach for the Stars, Amphibians & Reptiles), while their Div C counterparts are named after the actual subject at hand (Circuit Lab, Forensics, Astronomy, Herpetology).

Just a fancy name for trajectory.

Do NOT call Storm the Castle a fancy name for trajectory, seeing as they are completely different events
  • Trajectory is non metallic elastic solid powered, Storm the Castle is powered by a falling counterweight.
  • Storm the Castle is more focused on distance then accuracy as your target is a box rather then a pin

I'M SORRY!
I knew it was a different event. IT WAS A JOKE!
Granted, I never did Trajectory, but I did see them in action many times.
I apologize again, I meant that it was a fancy name for a trajectory oriented science. I just typed trajectory, but not in reference to the EVENT but the FIELD OF SCIENCE!

As you can tell, Storm the Castle is my favorite event :P

The people before you were talking about the same event in B division being called something fancy and in C division being called something which tells you the roots of the subject.

Even so, Storm the Castle is likely just B this year, right? C gets... Sounds of Music O_o

How is Sounds of Music not fancy?
