Nothing is impossible. I bet with enough tweaking, we may even see 6.5ish g booms that hold all.
I agree- I think we will see a score of 3k (6.5g boomi, full load). There definitely won't be many of them but I believe it can be done.

Has there been a 3k boomi this season yet?

I am not aware of any division C team that has achieved 3k at a competition. It is hard to know if any team has hit 3k in a non-competition setting, but I would doubt it (at this point of the season).

Our team got near, but didn't hit 3k.

Sergio,
I'd need to disagree with that statement... Just this week, I saw a 7.67 gram boom carry 14.974 KG... I'm quite sure that by States that will not be unusual.

Norcal Bay Area DivB winner was over 3000: weighed less than 6 grams and held full load. I think it's quite possible that Nats winner in DivC could be over 2500 (that would be a 7g boom holding full load -- our high school's boom weighed less than that and probably with a couple more modifications could have held).

What’s a good size of wood for my compression members?

I’ve usually used 1/8 by 1/8, but is that too large?

I've been fine with much less (around 1.5 g), and I'm purposely overbuilding that part
do you have any tips to decrease your boomi to that weight?
usually mine weighs 3.5-5g

That's just the tension, not the whole boomilever. A 1.5 boomi wouldn't be able to hold much, and with this year's bonus probably not worth it.
