RestingDoll, what were your blades like in terms of the questions above?RestingDoll wrote:We came in 8th with 335 on low and 593 on high. Test was also ok (@ shadow flicker lol).Alex-RCHS wrote:I'm also curious to know this. Also, anyone know the top voltage scores?vjindal wrote:Does anyone know what the best blades at nats looked like?
Were they lift-based?
Were they 3d printed?
What material were they made of?
Did they extend to the center of the CD or only near the outside?
We got 5th but failed the test, got 400 something on low and 600 something on high.vjindal wrote:RestingDoll, what were your blades like in terms of the questions above?RestingDoll wrote:We came in 8th with 335 on low and 593 on high. Test was also ok (@ shadow flicker lol).Alex-RCHS wrote:

They were drag based, spanned the entirety of the radius (12.8 cm?), starting at 4 cm wide slowly narrowing out, and made of a pepsi bottle.vjindal wrote:RestingDoll, what were your blades like in terms of the questions above?RestingDoll wrote:We came in 8th with 335 on low and 593 on high. For the record, this is division B, right?wzhang5460 wrote:

If you don't mind sharing how different was this from your States blade both performance and design-wise?RestingDoll wrote:They were drag based, spanned the entirety of the radius (12.8 cm?), starting at 4 cm wide slowly narrowing out, and made of a pepsi bottle.vjindal wrote:RestingDoll, what were your blades like in terms of the questions above?RestingDoll wrote: We came in 8th with 335 on low and 593 on high. Just adding in the reason I'm curious is because I used a drag-based design for States but was considering switching if we made it to Nationals. Well this edit came out weird.RestingDoll wrote:They were drag based, spanned the entirety of the radius (12.8 cm?), starting at 4 cm wide slowly narrowing out, and made of a pepsi bottle.vjindal wrote:

Also how successful were you in using soda bottle plastic? I used to use it but it curved too much so I switched to frozen pizza boxes.
They were the exact same blades as states. I'm not sure what happened at states, but I don't think we let the blades reach peak capacity which hurt us a lot.maxxxxx wrote:If you don't mind sharing how different was this from your States blade both performance and design-wise?RestingDoll wrote:They were drag based, spanned the entirety of the radius (12.8 cm?), starting at 4 cm wide slowly narrowing out, and made of a pepsi bottle.vjindal wrote:
