This should be a fairly comprehensive list of what constitutes 'similar'. My understanding of the clue is that you need to find the similar herb and either add, subtract, or substitute a letter to get the full or partial username of the remaining Assassinator. Unless I've overlooked something, this approach doesn't work, so hop to it and try something else.
